Who is it recommended for?
- For organisers of presentations, conferences, where the speakers' speech and even simultaneous foreign language translation are displayed on a projector and smartphone, tablet or notebook with a delay of 5-20 seconds. With the ABSONIC system, hearing impaired people who can read will also be able to attend these events!
- For educational institutions where the instructors' speech is displayed in a foreign language, and at the end of the lesson, students can immediately access the audio recording and transcript online (possibly later after the transcript has been corrected). ABSONIC will also be available for hearing impaired students who can read! Particularly useful for foreign language speakers where part of the audience does not speak the language of the speaker.
- For near-real-time subtitling of TV broadcasts, videos and movies, where speech and/or a foreign language translation is displayed on the screen with a delay of 5-20 seconds. With the ABSONIC system, hearing impaired people who can read as well as non-speakers of the original language can understand what is being said. In this case, a video capture device and display software are required.
- For subtitling presentations where the recognized speech and/or translation appears below and/or above the presentation, while the subtitle file does not cover the presentation. In this case, a video capture device and display software are required. Another display device can be used than the one on which the presentation is taking place, in which case no video capture device and display software is needed, only a secondary display.
- For creating raw versions of video subtitles, where speech recognition and translation can be saved as an SRT subtitle file, which can be used by all popular video player software to display the subtitle on the video being played. Errors in speech recognition can be corrected in ABSONIC, while accurate timing can be done in the free Subtitle Edit.
- For companies and organisations using customer information: train stations, bus stations, airports to quickly display information about flights in several languages, especially if the information speech is hard to hear, but also very useful for the hearing impaired.
Also
- Those who have to record and/or take minutes of meetings frequently.
- Those who want to store audio recordings of their meetings so that all the information can be found quickly and accurately afterwards.
